The Levski and Cherno More teams finished 0:0 in a rather boring match at the stadium "Vivacom Arena - Georgi Asparuhov". The people of Varna should be much more satisfied with the draw, as they secured at least the third place in the final standings. The match will be remembered mostly for what happened before it, BTA reports.
The duel of "Gerena" started a quarter of an hour late, as a group of supporters of the "blues" entered the field and stood in front of one of the two gates with a banner "Syrakov - out", showing their displeasure with the majority owner of their beloved club.
In the opening minutes, the hosts from Levski were more active. A nice break by Javad El Jemili ended with the Moroccan's left-footed shot, but it went wide of Ivan Dyulgerov's goal.
Shortly after that, the defender Patrik-Gabriel Galchev tried the reflex of the Black Sea goalkeeper, but he caught without a problem. Fabio Lima also had some good introductions in attack, but the Black Sea defenders did not have much difficulty. It wasn't until the end of the first half that the Black Sea created some dangers in front of Levski's goal, but the guard of the "blue" Plamen Andreev also handled it with ease.
In the 48th minute, Marin Petkov had a very good opportunity to open the scoring after a pass from Galchev, but he got stuck in the penalty area and his shot was parried by a Varna defender. Then it was the turn of Dulgerov's prophetic intervention, who nailed Fabio Lima's bombshell on the spot.
Black Sea missed its best opportunity in the 78th minute, when Plamen Andreev headed Daniel Dimov's header from a corner kick out of bounds. Until the end of the match, there was not a single other scoring opportunity.
