The champion from "Wimbledon" in 2022, Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) withdrew from participation in the Olympic tennis tournament at the Paris Games in both singles and mixed doubles, BTA reported.
The reason has not yet been officially announced.
After Rybakina's refusal, a place in the competition was given to the representative of Australia, Daria Saville.
Elena Rybakina's place in the scheme was taken by the French Caroline Garcia, who will play against the Romanian Jacqueline Christian, and Saville will have as her opponent the sixth seed Qinwen Zheng from China.
