Contested fight between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan at the World Nomad Games  - 1

The third day of the 5th World Nomad Games held in Kazakhstan brought the country host so far a total of 48 medals. The second place is quite contested. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan with 7 gold medals each, and their total number is 23 and 24 medals respectively.

During the third day, athletes competed in sports such as kokpar, kokboru, horse wrestling, archery on horseback, kurash, traditional archery, Kazakh kuresi, mass wrestling and togizkumalak.

The winners of the equestrian competitions in three weight categories were determined. The competitions were held on the territory of the Ethnic Village, where the competitors fought for the prizes in the weight categories 90, 100 and +100 kg. Gold medals in the respective categories were won by: Islam Berdibek uulu (Kyrgyzstan), Salim Isbasarom (Kazakhstan) and Birzhan Kosaliev (Kazakhstan)

78 competitors from 27 countries took part in the Turkish horse archery competition. The winner is Yaraklakhan Aykoz (Kazakhstan).

In the traditional shield archery competition, the men's winner is Koska Lazlo (Hungary) and the women's is Reno Suri (Indonesia).

Kazakh Kures wrestling competitions at the 5th World Nomad Games have ended. Over two days, on September 9-10, men and women measured strength in 16 weight categories to determine the strongest competitors. A total of 274 competitors from 41 countries participated, fighting for victory in their categories.

Here are the results of the Kazakh Kurash (wrestling) competitions. The gold medalist in the men's category up to 55 kg. is Bekzhan Tolepov (Kazakhstan), up to 60 kg. - Meirzhan Bereketov (Kazakhstan), up to 64 kg. - Didar Tukushev (Kazakhstan), up to - 74 kg. - Zhumazhan Kozhambekov (Kazakhstan), up to 82 kg. - Umid Esonov (Uzbekistan), up to 90 kg. - Umar Bozorov (Uzbekistan), up to 100 kg. - Esrultan Muzaparov (Kazakhstan), + 100 kg. - Nurdaulet Zharilkapov (Kazakhstan)

For women, a gold medal in the lightest category – up to 48 kg. the winner is Aizhan Zylkibayeva (Kazakhstan), up to 52 kg. - Nazerke Azamatova (Kazakhstan), up to 58 kg. - Rauza Nurmahametova (Kazakhstan), up to 60 kg. - Bakyt Kusakbayeva (Kazakhstan), up to 70 kg. - Roza Nisantaikizi (Kazakhstan), up to 65 kg. - Zarina Saripova (Kazakhstan), 77 kg. - Betty Vuk (Italy), +77 kg. - Ursula Hoffmann (Poland)

The mass wrestling competition - the national sport of the Sakha people - has ended. Gold medals were distributed among men in two weight categories, among women – also in two as follows: men up to 90 kg. - Piconin Yevgeny (Russia), up to 105 kg. - Ataybekulu Keldibek (Kyrgyzstan). For women up to 65 kg. the gold went to Madanbaeva Adel (Kyrgyzstan), and up to 75 kg. - Maylibasheva Nazia (Kyrgyzstan)

The Kokpar race continued – one of the most spectacular sports of the Games. The Kazakhstan team defeated the US cowboys with a score of 12:4, and Kyrgyzstan won against the Turkish athletes - 15:1.

As for the Kokboru results, Turkey won against the USA team with a score of 2:1, and Russian riders beat Uzbekistan with a score of 3:2.
