On September 13, one of the biggest cultural and sports events of this year ended &ndash ; 5th World Nomad Games. They are considered the Asian equivalent of the Olympics, which were recently held in Paris. The difference is that here the participants compete in ancient sports, hunting with birds of prey, tug of war, horse archery and others.
Although modest – one of the 3 participants, Bulgaria also performed at this spectacular event. Deyan Angelov, Iliyan Parushev and Konstatin Raykov participated in the games in two types of wrestling – You smoke Kazak and you smoke Alush. At the first, Deyan Angelov was in the category up to 66 kg., Iliyan Parushev – up to 74 kg. and Konstantin Raikov – up to 82 kg.

On Alush Kuresh, Angelov fought against an Iranian, and Parushev – against a Tajik.
„These two types of sports are traditional for Central Asia. Alush kuresha is a typical Kyrgyz fight, and Kazak kuresh is a Cossack one, Ivanov explains.
Kazak kuresh clothing resembles a kimono, but with short sleeves and short shorts. He grabs the kimono like judo. It can be grabbed from the belt down, tripped, slashed. In Alush kuresha, only the belt is held, if the belt is released, there is a point for the opponent.

About the organization of the event, Ivanov said that it was at a very high level. It can be seen that considerable funds have been invested. Astana, which hosted the event, was literally branded with the games slogan – starting from the streets and reaching the interior spaces in public buildings and shopping centers.
