Swedish prosecutors confirmed on Tuesday that an investigation had been launched for raping a young woman in a hotel in the center of Stockholm, where Kylian Mbappé was at the same time with his friends, BTA reported.
According to the dailies "Aftonbladet" and "Express" it is the captain of the national team who is being investigated for the sexual assault. Mbappe himself has already commented on his profile on the X social network that this is "fake news". His friends also denied the involvement of his name in the affair.
"Express" named Mbappe on Monday evening as the main suspect in the possible crime. According to the Swedish television channel TV4, the woman who filed the complaint was in a hospital specialized for victims of violence and identified Mbappe as the perpetrator.
Newspaper "Expressen" also published that the police in Stockholm took black pants, a top and underwear from the hotel as material evidence to help with the investigation.
