Even at the beginning of the match, it was clear that Grigor Dimitrov was not in his best physical condition. The Bulgarian made a few unprovoked errors, giving Khachanov a chance to break through and take the first game of the match. The Russian kept his concentration and quickly took a 2:0 lead, and then made another break and the result was already 3:0 in the first set.

The Russian tennis player consolidated his second break by making a convincing service game to take a comfortable 4-0 lead that promised to win the first set.
