Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior has won the "Globe Soccer Awards" as the best footballer of 2024, BNR reported.
The 24-year-old was also named number 1 among strikers at the ceremony, which took place in Dubai.
On December 17, Vinicius received the award for the best player in the world at "The Best" awards. In October, the Brazilian was second in the standings for the "Ballon d'Or", behind only Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland won the "Globe Soccer" award for 2023 in the "Best Player" category. Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who now plays for Al-Nassr, has won the award six times.
Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal was named the best young player. The footballer turned 17 in July. Real Madrid and England international Jude Bellingham was named the best midfielder.
Italian specialist Carlo Ancelotti, who leads Real Madrid, was named the best coach.
