Ilian Iliev: We have matches ahead in which we must be uncompromising - 1

National coach Ilian Iliev spoke before tomorrow's test with Greece on the island of Crete. The specialist was in the company of Georgi Milanov, sportal.bg reported.

"We will make changes, we want to give playing time to everything. Secondly, we also have injured players. There will be changes, we knew about them. We certainly expected a little more with Cyprus in terms of football and desire. We cannot justify ourselves as an environment. It is not an excuse, but it is a fact that some people's championships are over - training for 20 days alone is different. Hopefully we have found the rhythm with the first match. We have absentees, that's right. An injury is an injury, with Kiril Despodov we had no way to react, he was in the match the other day. With Filip Krastev, the situation is different. T

We need to see new players, alternatives, see what condition the others are in. Tomorrow we will certainly go out on defense with people who have only seen each other at the camps. 10-12 thousand are expected, the situation will be different, I hope we perform well. We have matches ahead in which we must be uncompromising. As for tactics - anything is possible. It's a good thing that Andy Kraev didn't watch Spain - Portugal, it was late. There is nothing like an ultimatum. We know the opponent, I expect a difficult match. At "Vasil Levski" we have also performed without an audience, Spain is a classy team, yes. There is time, but there is not much time. And tomorrow I will want to put in a little more character", said Ilian Iliev.

The Serbian coach of the Greek national team Ivan Jovanovic admitted that he expects a difficult match against Bulgaria tomorrow, Topsport reported.

"You know that I am from Serbia. I have great respect for you, Bulgarian football has always had a lot of talent. I know a lot about Bulgarian football. The Bulgarian team played a play-off for promotion to the League of Nations, but they were unlucky in the play-off with the Republic of Ireland. I expect a difficult match", said Jovanovic regarding the Bulgarian formation.

He himself came to the Bulgarian journalists with a broad smile, welcomed them and explained that luck was indeed lacking in the play-offs with the Republic of Ireland. He also said that in the Nations League, Group C/3 was quite even and difficult to predict, and in another stream Bulgaria would have won direct promotion.

"It is very positive for us to play in Crete, we were warmly welcomed at the airport at the stadium. The people here supported us warmly with Slovakia and I expect them to support us tomorrow against Bulgaria as well. The team continues to gain experience, but also to create expectations in the people, which is very good", the Serbian specialist also said.

In September I want us to be in shape. The most important concern is their fitness in September, the preparation for the World Cup qualifiers starts tomorrow for us. Many of the players have been together from U17 to U21 and have a strong relationship, behavior and mood", Jovanovic also said.
