We have a political crisis. The start of the crisis is not now, it's not just after the elections in Pazardzhik. Now GERB deputies are traveling around the country to understand what's happening. The political crisis began with the withdrawal of the APS from the governing formula. Even then, it became clear that this government has no legitimacy outside the support of “DPS - New Beginning“. After the withdrawal of the APS, the parliamentary majority does not have a majority without the votes of “DPS - New Beginning“. We remember that famous statement by Borisov that there are five prime ministers, and one of them is Delyan Peevski. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the “FAK-TI“ studio and the program “Conversation“ Rumen Yonchev, chairman of the Farmers' People's Union.
“When the government is on strike, when there is a strike in the plenary hall, this means that the governing formula is deeply mistaken… The mandate holder and the majority in parliament cannot protest against their own government. They must immediately dissolve it, if that is the case. Obviously, they are now thinking about what to do“, added the guest.
“I am not a supporter of theories in politics that everything is predetermined. On the contrary - everyone is now improvising. Both the opposition and the ruling party. And most of all the mandate holder, in this case GERB, does not have a solution and is looking for it. This may be useful for them in political terms, but in state terms it is disastrous. A protest by the ruling party against its own government means that the state practically does not function. The main authorities are not functioning“, Rumen Yonchev also said.
“The entire political history of GERB is built on such scenes. It is built on this frank conversation with the voters: “I will exercise power, but I will not explain everything to you“. And now some topics are being put in a narrow circle in GERB, because otherwise it is not convenient to put them before the public, it is not convenient to put them before the partners, it is not convenient to debate. We saw 20-30 people, locked in a small hall, listening to the leader who pours out “his grief“. But the grief is not from the government. This is grief from the political crisis that began a few months ago and is now starting to bear its fruits“, the guest also shared.
“I am not sure that Borisov knows where and how all this will end. This whole tirade that we listened to the other day is a preparation for the next steps. If GERB wants to survive, Borisov must come up with new steps“, Yonchev also shared.
