This is how much mobile operators earn from one contract indexation? Maya Manolova in front of FACTS (VIDEO) - 1

The current chairman of KZP has now announced that he has entered into an agreement with the three telecoms. It's a shot at point blank range. They have agreed that if the price is increased unilaterally by the mobile operator, the contract can be terminated without penalty. And when you go to the other operator what… After concluding a two-year contract with a client, it is normal to have assessed the commercial risk. That is, even if there are any changes in inflation, the operator must have considered what he gains and what he loses. Look, the turnover of the three operators is about BGN 1 billion each. Their operating profit is 30-40%. They raise the bills with inflation of 9%, which makes 90 million BGN net profit. Without doing anything, no improvements to the network, to the service, no investment. They simply collect some 90 million, and this is done with the courtesy of the deputies in the Bulgarian parliament and the relevant authorities, which must monitor and check them. This is what he announced to Lili Marinkova in the "FACTS" studio. and the show “Conversation“ Maya Manolova, chairperson of the PP "Stand up BG".

“In the battle with the mobile operators, the consumer could be protected by the Consumer Protection Commission (CCP) and through the people's representatives. KZP could file corrective actions in a simplified procedure, and MPs could, with a quick change in the Communications Act, prohibit unilateral indexation when it comes to fixed-term contracts. What is proposed to be done in this law by an MP from the PP-DP is that the residents have the right to refuse the contract with a mobile operator without paying a penalty and switch to another one if they do not want their bill to be stolen. But all three mobile operators operate in oligopoly conditions. They simultaneously increase the prices by the same percentage, so if we end up from one mobile operator by going to another – what… Apparently we need to go back to the stone age and communicate with carrier pigeons. This is not a decision”, Manolova also said.

“The procedure with the collective claims, with which the “Face up bg“ we took it upon ourselves, is extremely complicated, long and expensive. Another inequitable clause is that if forced collection is reached, 8% of the amount goes to collection companies. Mobile operators have a practice of selling debts to collection companies, only they sell them literally for pennies, at 10% of the value of the claim. So that's real audacity. In these contracts, we consumers are not equal, and the operators put us in a humiliating position. At the same time, several ministers of the economy, because the KZP is subordinate to them, simply do nothing and directly serve the telecoms, said the leader of the “Stand up bg“.
