Two people were killed in Russian air strikes in Zaporizhzhia and Nikolaev regions in southern Ukraine, local authorities reported today, quoted by Agence France-Presse and BTA.
The agencies note that this is happening at a time when Europeans fear an escalation of the conflict.
"One person was killed during the attack," said the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, on "Telegram", specifying that rescue teams are working on the spot.
"The number of wounded in the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia region is nine people," he wrote in another message.
The regional governor of Nikolaev region, Vitaly Kim, reported one death there.
"A few hours ago, the Russians attacked a farm in the Chernomorska municipality. A man, a tractor driver, was killed while working in the field," the employee wrote on "Telegram".
The strikes come against the backdrop of a stalemate in talks for a peaceful settlement to the conflict, which has been going on for more than three and a half years, AFP reports.
