2000 potential targets! Tomahawk missiles will be deadly for the Russian army - 1

The American Tomahawk cruise missiles will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to significantly weaken the combat effectiveness of the Russian army at the front, according to a new report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

According to analysts, the Ukrainian troops can strike with drones over a large part of the territory of the Russian Federation, but the payload of the unmanned aerial vehicles is limited and is not suitable for destroying specialized objects.

According to ISW analysts, this problem can be solved with the American long-range Tomahawk missiles.

Experts have calculated that within the range of modifications of these missiles with a range of At least 1,945 Russian military targets are within range of the 2,500 km range modification, and at least 1,655 targets are within range of the 1,600 km range modification.

ISW suggests that strikes with missiles with a larger warhead deep into the Russian rear would allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to inflict significant damage, and perhaps even destroy key military targets on Russian territory.

"Such targets could be the Shahed drone production plant in Elabuga, Republic of Tatarstan, or the "Engels-2" airbase in the Saratov region, from where Russia takes off with strategic bombers for cruise missile strikes on Ukraine“, the report states.

The institute also recalls that Ukraine has begun mass production of a new FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missile with a range of 3,000 km and a warhead weighing 1,150 kg. However, the tests of these missiles have not yet been completed and Ukraine needs time to increase the scale of their production.

At the end of September, Western media reported that the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky had turned to US President Donald Trump with a request to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles.
