The operator of the Ukrainian power grid „Ukrenergo“ does not currently foresee any planned power outages for household consumers, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
The head of the company Vitaly Zaichenko said that the ongoing emergency power outages are a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system, along with insufficient electricity imports from Europe due to high market prices there.
„Currently, such measures are not needed“, Zaichenko said in response to a question from the Ukrainian news agency about possible planned power outages.
Zaichenko also noted that „Ukrenergo“ plans to introduce restrictions on electricity consumption for businesses and industrial enterprises, with this measure expected to come into effect today at 4:00 p.m. (Bulgarian time).
Earlier today, there were emergency power outages in the capital Kiev and nine other Ukrainian regions.
