The Israeli army said two Israeli soldiers were killed in the Gaza Strip today, and the Palestinian Civil Defense said 21 people were killed in the latest Israeli attacks, amid mutual accusations between Israel and "Hamas" of violating the ceasefire, reported Agence France-Presse, BTA reported.
The two Israeli soldiers were killed in fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army carried out several air strikes after accusing "Hamas" in violation of the truce.
Major Yaniv Kula, 26, and Sergeant Itai Yavetz, 21, "fell in combat in the southern Gaza Strip," the army said in a statement, reporting the first Israeli casualties in the enclave since the truce came into effect on October 10.
Among the Palestinian casualties in the Gaza Strip were six people killed in an Israeli strike in Al-Zawaida, in the central part of the enclave. The strike targeted "a group of civilians" displaced from the northern Palestinian territory, Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said.
Another bombardment of "tents for displaced people near Khan Younis killed a woman and two children." Bassal also reported two other Palestinian casualties in Israeli strikes in Al-Zawaida, two in Nuseirat and two in Jabaliya.
Later, the Civil Defense reported six more deaths, including children, in two Israeli strikes in the late afternoon.
U.S. President Donald Trump, upon arriving at the Israeli parliament - the Knesset - earlier this week, said that "Hamas" would implement the disarmament plan, Reuters reported. Speaking to reporters before delivering a speech to Israeli lawmakers, Trump answered "yes" when asked if the war was over.
