In an evening address, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Moscow's statements that the new sanctions imposed against Russia will not affect the Russian economy.
This was specifically said by the head of the Direct Investment Fund and special envoy of the Russian President Kirill Dmitriev, who arrived in the United States to discuss Russian-American relations, the BBC summarized.
"And although the Russians have now spread a signal to the world that the sanctions do not seem to affect their economy, everyone sees: the queues at gas stations in Russia, the bankruptcies of Russian regions and the deficit of Russia's federal budget.
It is precisely the sanctions that are one of the most painful things for Putin, personally for him," Zelensky said in his evening address.
