Ukraine attacks Russian energy infrastructure again with drones, Reuters reported.
The attack disrupted air traffic across the country, with several drones also sent towards Moscow.
Russian air defenses destroyed a total of 100 Ukrainian drones overnight, including six over Moscow region and the rest over 11 regions and Crimea, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In Crimea, Ukrainian drones hit a fuel and lubricants storage container in the city of Simferopol, Moscow-appointed governor Sergei Aksyonov said. He said there were no casualties and emergency services were working at the scene.
The Russian aviation agency "Rosaviatsia" said three of Moscow's four airports and several others across the country were closed at some point overnight for safety reasons.
The authorities of the Mari El Republic reported that strikes were recorded near one of the region's industrial facilities.
South of Mari El, in the Ulyanovsk region, a short-lived fire broke out at a site with destroyed drones, the region's governor, Alexei Russkikh, said on his Telegram channel. According to unofficial information spread by Telegram channels, Ukraine tried to strike oil infrastructure there.
Ukraine also launched several drones aimed at the Budyonnovsk industrial zone in Russia's Stavropol Territory, the region's governor, Vladimir Vladimirov, said. The Russian Defense Ministry said its units shot down two drones over the region in the south of the country. Vladimirov said there were no casualties or significant damage.
According to Ukrainian media, including the RBK-Ukraine news outlet, Kiev attacked the "Stavrolin" chemical plant in the "Budenovsk" area, part of the Russian company "Lukoil". According to Russian and Ukrainian media, "Stavrolin" is one of the main producers of polyethylene and polypropylene in Russia.
"Reuters" could not independently confirm reports of the attack on "Stavrolin". The governor of Stavropol did not specify what was attacked in "Budenovsk".
