North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has expressed his readiness to hold new talks with United States President Donald Trump, the South Korean agency “Yonhap“ reported, BTA reports.
According to South Korean intelligence, Kim is preparing a possible summit between North Korea and the United States, which could take place after the conclusion of the joint military exercises of Washington and Seoul in March 2026.
Trump, who has repeatedly expressed his readiness to meet with Kim, previously stated that he is “open“ for dialogue if the North Korean leader shows willingness. For his part, Kim Jong-un has made it clear that he would only participate in such a meeting if the United States drops its demand for Pyongyang's complete denuclearization.
According to recent reports, the former US president has insisted that the future talks be held "without preconditions," fueling speculation about a new attempt at a diplomatic breakthrough between the two countries.
