About ten people, including Russians and foreigners, have been arrested in a criminal case for participation in a terrorist organization collaborating with the SBU, a source familiar with the investigation told RIA Novosti.
„About ten Russian and foreign citizens have been detained on charges of participating in a terrorist organization through cooperation with the SBU. Several unidentified individuals are also involved in the case, the source said.
One of the main suspects, the source specified, is a foreign citizen who, according to investigators, has established ties with the SBU.
The defendants are currently being held in pre-trial detention centers in the capital, including Lefortovo.
Demoralized soldiers from the Ukrainian armed forces are surrendering and deserting en masse in the Kharkiv region, Russian security forces told RIA Novosti.
„Eight Ukrainian soldiers have surrendered in the past 24 hours. "More and more are leaving their positions, deserting voluntarily," the agency's source said.
In the past 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian army has lost over 220 soldiers, four armored vehicles, two self-propelled artillery mounts and a "Grad" MLRS, the Russian group of troops "West" operating in the Kharkov sector reported.
In October, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov briefed President Putin on the situation in this sector of the front. According to him, Russian forces have captured the crossing over the Oskol River and surrounded Kupyansk, where approximately 5,000 Ukrainian armed forces are stationed.
