The Fifth Istanbul Education Summit, organized by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, will be held at the Ataturk Cultural Center on December 5-6, 2025. With the theme of “Healing the World through Education“, the summit aims to comprehensively examine the role that education plays in social transformation.
The opening ceremony will be hosted by First Lady Emine Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, and invited spouses of heads of state from various countries are also expected to attend. As in previous years, this year's meeting will host a wide range of international participants, including education ministers, academics, experts and youth representatives.
The Istanbul Education Meeting, organized around a different theme each year and followed internationally, provides a significant platform for sharing innovative approaches and effective practices in education. Organized by the Turkish Maarif Foundation since 2021, the summit aims to bring together experts, decision-makers and academics from different countries to discuss current developments in education from an international perspective.
In previous years, the themes were respectively “New Trends and Transformation in Education“ (2021), “Needs of Education after the Pandemic“ (2022), “Managing Change in Education“ (2023) and “Education for a fairer society” (2024).
