The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has decided not to dismiss the head of his office Andriy Yermak, despite the growing public dissatisfaction with his activities and the controversial statements of government officials. This is reported by "Ukrainian Truth", citing sources in political circles.
Speculation about Yermak's possible resignation intensified after the outbreak of the large-scale corruption scandal in the state-owned company "Energoatom". Earlier this week, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed the ministers of justice and energy, further fueling expectations of broader personnel changes in the presidential team.
According to the publication, however, Zelensky has decided to keep Ermak in his post, despite pressure from part of society and tensions within the ruling coalition.
On Thursday evening, the president is expected to meet with the parliamentary group of the ruling "Servant of the People" party, at which the topic of personnel decisions will likely be discussed.
