Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have made limited progress in two directions - Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions, the Ukrainian monitoring project DeepState reported in an update of the combat map, News.bg reports.
In Donetsk region, Russian troops have advanced their positions near the village of Yampol, in the Lyman municipality, Kramatorsk region. In Zaporizhia region, an advance was registered near the village of Sladke in the direction of Gulyaipole.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces have repelled 13 Russian attacks in the areas of Yampol, Dronivka, Serebryanka, Seversk and Fedorovka. On the way to Gulyaipole, Ukrainian troops have thwarted 14 attacks in the areas of Gulyaipole, Sladkoye and Dobropole.
Earlier, UNIAN reported that Mirnograd in Donetsk region is not surrounded, despite the increased attempts of Russian forces to approach the city. Roman Pisarenko, head of communications of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade, indicated that Russian units are trying to advance along imperceptible routes, but Ukrainian troops are neutralizing them.
The spokesman for the Directorate of Assault Units in Zaporizhia region, Oleksiy Svinarenko, noted that the main threat to the regional center comes from the Gulyaipole area, where Russian forces are trying to infiltrate small groups. According to him, the situation remains under control and stabilized.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops achieved local success in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where servicemen from the 67th mechanized brigade liberated the village of Tykhoe and raised the Ukrainian flag.
