The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrey Kovalenko confirmed on Wednesday, January 28, that Russia has lost Su-30 and Su-34 aircraft. Kovalenko commented on the losses of Russian aircraft on Telegram, without specifying details, Focus writes.
Earlier, Fedorov and the aviation-related channel Fighterbomber hinted that Russia had lost a Su-34 fighter-bomber. According to information from the AviVector channel, the Su-34 crashed in the Kursk region due to a technical malfunction, the crew died.
Later, Ukrainian monitoring channels also reported that Russia lost a Su-30 in a southern direction.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have not yet officially commented on this information.
On January 28, the SBU reported that in 2025, the special forces of "Alpha" have struck five Russian military airfields with long-range drones, as a result of which 15 aircraft and helicopters were destroyed, including Su-30SM, Su-34, Su-27, Su-24, MiG-31 fighters and bombers, as well as an An-26 transport aircraft.
