The new round of talks between Ukraine and Russia with the mediation of the US will take place in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, on Wednesday and Thursday - February 4 and 5, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
He added that Kiev is ready for "substantive discussion".
"Our negotiating team has just presented me with a report. The dates for the next trilateral meetings have been set - February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi," the Ukrainian head of state said on the social platform "Ex".
"Ukraine is ready for a substantive discussion and we are interested in the outcome of these meetings bringing us closer to a real and dignified end to the war," he noted.
Yesterday, Zelensky said that Ukrainian representatives were preparing for diplomatic meetings next week. According to Agence France-Presse, with this statement he signaled that the option of a meeting today in Abu Dhabi between Russia and Ukraine with the mediation of the United States, as had been discussed, was being dropped.
