The US license for Venezuelan oil prohibits transactions with individuals and legal entities from Russia, North Korea, Iran and Cuba, gazeta.ru reported.

The relevant document was published by the agency's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

In addition, the license prohibits transactions with legal entities from Venezuela and the United States that are directly or indirectly owned or controlled by Chinese organizations or joint ventures with them.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that US and Venezuelan oil reserves account for 68% of the world's.

At the end of last month, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that Washington would transferred the proceeds from the sales of Venezuelan oil to a blocked account and will control their expenses. The sale of the first shipment of Venezuelan oil worth $ 500 million from the United States was announced on January 15.

Russia will discuss possible ways to assist friendly Cuba, which is under a US blockade, announced the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov in an interview with NEWS TASS.

“We are in contact with our Cuban friends. Cuba, unfortunately, is far from us. It is not easy to get to it, but nevertheless we will discuss possible ways to provide assistance to the Cubans“, the Kremlin spokesman said.
