Magnitude 5.3 earthquake recorded in Greek region of Thesprotia  - 1

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake was recorded at 5:32 am local time (also Bulgarian time) this morning in the Greek region of Thesprotia, which borders Albania, the Greek news agency ANA-MPA reported.

The agency cited information from the Geological Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, which provides data on behalf of the four organizations in the Unified National Seismological Network.

The epicenter of the earthquake is 12 kilometers east of Leptokarya, in Thesprotia, and its depth is estimated at about 13 kilometers.

The tremor was felt in several regions of Epirus and Thessaly, as well as in the Ionian Islands, it specifies ANA-MPA.
