The issue of ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz can be controlled by the EU's chief diplomat Kaia Kallas and the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
This was stated by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

The methods that European bureaucrats are using to deal with the consequences of their own mistakes are borrowed from the COVID-19 pandemic, Dmitriev believes.
“Ursula organized the COVID-related quarantine and censorship. Now the experienced Ursula will take on the quarantine and censorship in the energy sector. The methods remain the same“, he writes in his article.
According to him, European bureaucrats are distracting their citizens and making them pay for their own strategic failures.
“Frightened British and European instigators are spreading fake news to divert attention, knowing that an energy tsunami is approaching that will expose their catastrophic strategic mistakes and their inability to admit or correct them. "No brain, no gas," he wrote.

Dmitriev dismissed as "fake" Politico article claiming he conveyed to the US a Russian proposal to stop sharing intelligence with Iran in exchange for cancelling aid to Ukraine.
