Floods caused by heavy rains and storms have killed at least 121 people in Afghanistan and Pakistan in the past two weeks, Agence France-Presse reported, citing local authorities.
The Afghan Taliban government said that 77 people had been confirmed dead so far. The number of injured has reached 137.
In neighboring Pakistan, according to authorities, at least 44 people have died since March 20.
Afghanistan was also shaken by an earthquake last night, which, according to the latest information from the ruling Taliban, caused the death of 12 people.
The natural disasters hit the two neighboring countries at a time when they are negotiating with the mediation of China to end the fighting, in which hundreds of people have been killed on both sides of the border since October last year.
