Iranians celebrate 'defeat of US' and Israel, Iranian news agency Mehr reported, publishing footage from the streets of Tehran.
A video filmed on Vali-Asr Street, the longest street in the Iranian capital, shows people waving Iranian flags to the sound of loud music. Heavy traffic of cars and two-wheelers with national flags can be seen on the roadway.
Earlier, as reported by Press TV, Iran's Supreme National Security Council has declared victory for Tehran and a "crushing defeat" for the US and Israel.
According to the Tasnim news agency, a two-week conditional ceasefire will be established between Iran, the US and Israel.
“A two-week conditional ceasefire has been established between Iran and its US-Israeli adversaries“, the agency noted. The US president also announced this, saying that this two-week period will allow for the finalization and improvement of the agreement.
More details, Tasnim reports, will be announced soon by Iran.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council has declared victory and a "historic and crushing defeat" for the US and Israel, quoted by the Iranian television channel Press TV.
“Iran and the Resistance "They have almost completely destroyed the American military machine in the region," the channel quoted an excerpt from the statement as saying. "They have dealt devastating and deep blows to the vast infrastructure and capabilities that the enemy has been building and deploying for many years in the region for the war against Iran," the statement said.
Passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be free within two weeks after the ceasefire agreement between Iran and its adversaries, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced.
“Safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible within two weeks in coordination with the Iranian Armed Forces and taking into account existing technical limitations,“ he wrote in X.
He added that “if the attacks on Iran cease, the Islamic Republic's armed forces will also cease their defensive attacks“.
