Israel bombed new sites in Lebanon on Monday, jeopardizing a temporary ceasefire agreement reached between Iran and the United States after its attacks on the neighboring country killed more than 200 people yesterday, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strikes, carried out without warning yesterday on central areas of the capital Beirut and several other areas in Lebanon, killed 203 people and wounded more than a thousand, according to the latest but not final figures from the Lebanese Health Ministry.

"The total number of deaths following the attack on Lebanon is 203 people and more than 1,000 were injured," Lebanese Health Minister Rakan said today Nasreddin.

Yesterday, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported 182 dead and 890 wounded.

Israel will strike the pro-Iranian Islamist movement "Hezbollah" "wherever necessary", Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, a day after deadly Israeli strikes on Lebanon, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reports.

"We continue to strike "Hezbollah" with force, precision and determination," Netanyahu wrote on his "Ex" profile.

"Our message is clear: anyone who attacks Israeli civilians will be attacked. We will continue to strike "Hezbollah" wherever necessary until we fully restore security to the people of northern Israel," he added.

Israeli strikes on Lebanon pose a "serious threat" to the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, a spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned last night.

"The continuation of hostilities in Lebanon poses a serious threat to the ceasefire and efforts for a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region," Antonio Guterres' spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement, reiterating his call for an immediate cessation of all hostilities.
