Norway plans $9.2 billion in aid for Ukraine in 2027 - 1

Norway plans to provide Ukraine with financial support in the amount of 85 billion Norwegian kroner in fiscal 2027, the government of the Scandinavian country announced, quoted by “Reuters“. The amount is equivalent to about $9.2 billion and is at the same level as the planned aid to Kiev in 2026, News.bg reports.

The funds will be intended for both military and humanitarian needs, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said.

“Supporting and rebuilding Ukraine is not just about aid. This is an investment in Europe's own security," he commented.

Kiev seeks more air defense systems

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that his country was facing another severe winter due to ongoing Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

According to him, the Ukrainian Air Force needs 360 interceptor missiles for the upcoming winter season.

Zelensky also said that he had reached an agreement with France for the supply of at least one SAMP/T air defense system this year. Germany has agreed to deliver about 600 PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles by 2028.

Ukraine continues strikes on Russian targets

Meanwhile, Kiev continues its attacks on economic targets on Russian territory.

According to “Kiev Post“ early this morning, debris from Ukrainian drones caused a fire in a large logistics center of the online trading company Ozon. The incident forced the evacuation of about 300 employees, and the work of the facility was suspended.

Another fire broke out in the suburb of St. Petersburg, Kolpino. The fire affected a warehouse space of about 82,000 square meters in an industrial site located only about 350 meters from another Ozon logistics center.

Amid the ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and Kiev's retaliatory attacks on facilities in Russia, European countries continue to increase or maintain their financial and military support for Ukraine.
