Today during a phone call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the President of the USA Joe Biden for the support and leadership, reported Reuters and BTA.
Zelensky, writing on the Telegram messaging app, said in the conversation he noted the role of House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in securing passage of the massive military aid bill for Ukraine .
He also told Biden about "Russian aerial terror through thousands of missiles, drones and bombs" and singled out in particular the strike on a TV tower in Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkiv, which took place minutes before their conversation.
Biden has told Zelensky that the US will provide "significant" new security assistance to meet Ukraine's needs as soon as the Senate passes an aid bill and he signs it, the White House said.
