The agency said energy facilities were damaged and at least one worker was injured, citing a statement from Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
He wrote on his channel in the application "Telegram" that the targets of the Russian army were in the Dpepopetrov region in central Ukraine, as well as in the western part of the country - in the Lviv and Ivano-Franskov regions.
From the largest private Ukrainian electricity supplier - the company DTEK, it was announced that four of its thermal power plants (TPP) were hit.
"The enemy has again subjected Ukrainian energy facilities to massive shelling," said the statement of DTEK, quoted by Reuters.
"Company equipment was seriously damaged. At this very moment, workers are trying to neutralize the consequences of the attack," adds the company, which clarifies that so far no information has been received about casualties.
Reuters recalls that since March 22, Russian forces have focused their airstrikes on Ukraine's energy sector, attacking TPPs, WPPs and other energy facilities on Ukrainian territory almost daily.
Kiev authorities say that Ukraine has lost 80 percent of its thermal power and about 35 percent of its hydropower output since the full-scale Russian invasion began in February 2022.
In the first winter of the Russian invasion, Moscow directed its first massive airstrike on Ukraine's power grid, Reuters also notes.
The agency also reports that the Ukrainian air defense has shot down 12 Russian drones in the Dnipropetrovsk region, citing the head of the local regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak.
"Unfortunately, we could not avoid the consequences (of the Russian attacks). Energy facilities in the Dnieper and Kryvyi Rih regions were damaged, fires also broke out," Lisak said, adding that the water supply in the city of Kryvyi Rih was also disrupted.
