Greek authorities are investigating a potential data security breach after the interior ministry's election directorate was hacked, reported in. „ Kathimerini“, quoted by BTA.
The incident happened between 1:40 and 2:10 p.m. on Friday, while the director of the directorate was away from the office, located in the center of Athens.
The perpetrators entered the office by breaking the lock. No missing items or data reported. There are concerns, however, about the possibility that the suspects have penetrated the computers, which contain sensitive government documents and data, reported today in "Kathimerini".
