The first F-16 fighter jets may appear in Ukraine in just a few weeks, the British newspaper writes Standard, citing an unnamed senior military source.
Earlier, Ukrainian parliament member Oleksiy Goncharenko said that the first F-16 fighter jets could appear in Ukraine as early as July. The representative of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ilya Yevlash, in turn promised the first flights of the F-16 after Easter.
„The first F-16 fighter jets delivered from the West will arrive in Ukraine in a few weeks”, the newspaper said.
According to the publication's source, the first fighters should be delivered to Ukraine by June or July. The source did not specify which countries will provide Kiev with combat aircraft during this period.
