US President Joe Biden called a "cruel tyrant" Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported. This happened during a speech to graduates of the Military Academy at West Point, broadcast on the official channel of the White House.
„We confidently support Ukraine and will continue to oppose the man I have known for many years, a cruel tyrant. We cannot and will not back down," said the American president.
In his words, American servicemen will not be sent to fight in Ukraine.
Ambassador in Washington Anatoly Antonov called "another insult" of American President Joe Biden to Russian leader Vladimir Putin unacceptable and added that it is directed against the entire people of Russia.
„It is time for local ruling circles to come to terms with the fact that we will continue to conduct an independent and sovereign policy based on national interests. By attacking Vladimir Putin, Joe Biden insults the entire Russian people, who have demonstrated unwavering unity around the leader of our country, Antonov told reporters.
The diplomat emphasized that he considers such behavior unacceptable for any responsible politician and especially for the country's leader.
„The verbal roughness and attempts to assert himself at the expense of our president's image reflect Washington's anger at the fact that Russia, in American parlance, is challenging the “rules-based world order,”, Antonov said.

Biden has long been sparing epithets when talking about the Russian president. Thus, in March 2021, he called him a “murderer”, which provoked a diplomatic scandal. Putin wished his colleague well, noting that “assessing other people is like looking at yourself in the mirror”.
After the start of the war, the American president publicly called the Russian leader a “dictator“, a “butcher“ and “war criminal” and also stated that he “cannot stay in power”.
Putin responded to the attempts of the head of the White House to insult him with the saying “he who calls you, is called you”. And in February of this year, the head of state of Russia said that Biden as president of the United States is preferable to Trump, as he is “more experienced” and “predictable“.
