The current Lithuanian head of state and the country's prime minister will face each other today in a presidential runoff, AFP reported, quoted by the BNR.

In the vote two weeks ago, President Gitanas Nauseda received 44% of the vote, and Prime Minister Ingrida Shimonite – 20 percent, according to Reuters.

Nauseda is expected to retain his post, albeit with a small lead.

The election campaign was marked by the war in Ukraine.
