Argentine President Javier Milley accepted yesterday evening the resignation of the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers Nicolas Posse, reported Reuters , quoted by BTA.
This is the first major change in Argentina's government since Millay came to power five months ago.
Posse will be succeeded by current Interior Minister Guillermo Francos, according to a government statement.
The change in government comes at an extremely delicate time for Millay, whose reforms are stalling in the Argentine Congress.
In the coming days, it will be announced what role Nicolas Posse, who was a key figure in the team responsible for negotiating Argentina's debt to the International Monetary Fund, will play from here on.
Javier Millay's economic reforms include plans to privatize state-owned companies as well as austerity measures aimed at overcoming the economic crisis and tackling inflation in Argentina, which is nearing 300%.
