The Kremlin does not see a desire on the part of the British Labor Party for the restoration of relations with Russia and continues to see Great Britain as an enemy country, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, quoted by Reuters, writes BTA.
Peskov made this comment after the Labor Party won a decisive victory in the parliamentary elections after 14 years of conservative rule.
"(Labour) is not inclined to any flexibility and normalization of bilateral Russian-British relations,", Putin's spokesman emphasized.
The Labor Party has said that under its leadership, Britain will continue to support Ukraine with weapons and money in the war against Russia, notes Reuters.
