Members of the European Parliament have called for Hungary's right to vote in the EU to be revoked - 1

Members of the European Parliament demanded that Hungary's right to vote in the EU be revoked because of the country's prime minister's trips to Russia and China, reported “Politico”, quoted by BTA.

In a letter received by the editors of the publication, 63 MEPs address the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Parliament Roberta Mezzola. In it, they write that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán “has already caused significant damage by using and abusing the role of the EU presidency”.

Hungary took over the rotating presidency of the EU Council from Belgium on 1 July. Orbán has since undertaken independent "peace missions" in Kiev, Moscow, Beijing and Washington and without being authorized to do so, claimed to represent the EU.
