Meanwhile, a Wall Street Journal poll published last night showed Trump leading Democratic US Vice President Kamala Harris by two percentage points, down from a previous poll. a six percentage point lead over President Joe Biden, who dropped out of the presidential race.
Trump leads Harris 49 percent to 47 percent, according to the poll of 1,000 registered voters. The survey's margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, Reuters noted.
