A suspicious letter addressed to the French Ministry of the Interior was intercepted yesterday at a triage center in the French city of Longuevic, reports " ;France info", writes BTA.
The shipment has been submitted for analysis as black powder was found in it.
According to the first tests carried out by the radiological, nuclear, biological, chemical and explosive analysis unit of the police, the dust showed a "slight positive result" on the plague test. That is why additional tests are being carried out at the "Pasteur Institute" to confirm or reject the hypothesis that the letter contained the plague virus, the prosecutor's office in Dijon confirmed.
An investigation has been launched into the sender of the shipment, who is currently unknown.
