In his evening video address, Zelensky stated that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky informed him about the "advancement of the war in the territory of the aggressor".
Ukraine proves that it is "capable of providing justice" and to put "pressure on the aggressor", he added.
Neither Zelensky nor the military in Kiev provided more details about the current state of the offensive by Ukrainian troops on Russian territory.
In recent days, the Ukrainian president has only indirectly hinted at the attack in the direction of Kursk, saying in his evening address on Thursday: "Russia has brought the war to our land and must feel what it has done.
