Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held talks with the Polish President Andrzej Duda and the Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Shimons in Kyiv, during which they discussed the situation at the front and active activities on the part of Ukraine, among other issues, reported Ukrinform, quoted by BTA, referring to Zelensky's post on “Facebook”.

„I welcomed our friends in Ukraine – the representatives of the Polish and Lithuanian people. "It is extremely symbolic to celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine together," Zelensky said.

In his words, today's talks focused on the most necessary future steps, the situation on the front and the active activities of Ukraine. They also discussed defense against Russian airstrikes.

„Ukraine appreciates military assistance from Poland and Lithuania, and all our friends and partners. The main thing is not to lose the rhythm of delivery of the aid we have agreed on, the Ukrainian president pointed out.

For his part, Duda emphasized that his country has stood by Ukraine since the very beginning of Russian aggression.

„Your Independence Day is somewhat a celebration of the independence of the whole of Central Europe, because without an independent Ukraine it is difficult to talk about an independent and secure Poland, Lithuania and other countries of our region,” added the Polish president.

He expressed confidence that the war would soon end with the “victory of the forces of freedom over the world of tyranny”.
