The Palestinian Red Crescent reported today that five people were killed and one seriously injured in an attack in Tubas, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, where the Israeli army confirmed that it had carried out an operation, AFP reported, quoted by BTA.
"Five people were killed and one was seriously injured in an attack on a car in Tubas,'' the Palestinian Red Crescent said in a statement.
For its part, the Israeli army reported in "Telegram" that it carried out "three strikes against armed terrorists" who posed a threat to its soldiers in the Tubas area.
Israeli forces stormed the refugee camp "Faraa" in the area of Tubas, where explosions were heard, eyewitnesses told AFP.
On August 28, the Israeli army launched a large-scale operation in the northern part of the West Bank, a Palestinian territory occupied by Israel since 1967. On Saturday, it reported the death of one of its soldiers in Jenin.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since the start of the operation, at least 30 Palestinians have been killed and 140 wounded.
