At least 13 Palestinians were killed and 15 – wounded, in Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported, referring to the official news agency of the Palestinian Authority WAFA, quoted by BTA.
At least eight people died in refugee tents at a school in Jabalia in the northern part of the strip, the UFA agency informed today.
In a statement, the Israeli army indicated that it “carried out a precision strike against terrorists who were operating in a “Hamas” command and control center located on the grounds of a former school”.
Five Palestinians were killed in another strike on a residential building in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.
The Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip began after fighters of the Palestinian group “Hamas“ invaded Israel on October 7 last year, killing 1,200 people and taking about 250 people hostage. The Israeli army's operation has so far killed more than 40,800 Palestinians, according to the local health ministry, and displaced almost the entire population of 2.3 million, Reuters notes.
