The pro-Iranian Iraqi faction “Kataib Hezbollah” promised to send a hundred thousand fighters to Lebanon to support the Shiite movement “Hezbollah” in his fight against Israel, reported in "Ash Sharq al-Awsat", quoted by BTA.

In a letter to the Secretary General of “Hezbollah” Hassan Nasrallah the secretary of “Kataib Hezbollah” Abu Alya al-Walai says his organization is ready to send fighters to the Lebanese group, which is also supported by Iran. “Nasrallah told me that Iraq was the greatest reservoir of strength and lifeline of the resistance,” is stated in the letter.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region following Israeli attacks by exploding pagers and walkie-talkies of Hezbollah members, which killed 37 people and injured around 3,000.

After the two waves of explosions, the armed factions in Iraq have inspected the security of their communication networks.
