Orban arrived in Tbilisi, the Georgian opposition protested in front of the parliament VIDEO - 1

The Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban arrived on a visit to the Georgian capital Tbilisi, reported "France Press", quoted by BNR.

The aim of his two-day visit is to support Georgia's ruling party "Georgian Dream", which won the parliamentary elections on Saturday.

Before the visit of Orbán, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, warned the rulers there that Orbán does not represent the Union.

Georgia's vote was contested by the opposition and the country's president, calling the election stolen and calling for protests.

Last night thousands of people gathered in a demonstration outside the parliament in Tbilisi to support the country's European future.

The President of the European Council requested an investigation into the suspicions of a manipulated vote in the country, NOVA reported.

Charles Michel said that a serious review is needed at all levels. His remarks came after European election monitors reported many irregularities. At a press conference in Tbilisi, they explained that there was vote buying and pressure from the ruling party. She reportedly installed her own cameras at polling stations and pressured people who might have voted for the opposition, European monitors said.

Georgia's prime minister denied the election was unfair and said there were incidents everywhere. At the same time, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili appeared at an opposition press conference and indicated that he does not recognize the result announced by the authorities. According to her, the country has become a victim of a Russian special operation.

„These elections cannot be recognized because that would mean recognizing the Russian invasion. I didn't come back to this country for that. Our ancestors did not fight for it. We won't allow it. "No one can take away Georgia's European future," Zurabishvili said.

„During our monitoring, we noted cases of vote buying and double voting, especially in the provinces. We saw two worlds - one in the polling stations, where the situation was relatively normal, and one outside the stations. Where there was monitoring of people, control of the vote, widespread pressure and an organized campaign of intimidation, explained Julian Boulay, head of PACE observers.
