Lebanese group "Hezbollah" fired rockets at northern Israel several times yesterday, with about 90 rockets fired by the evening, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, quoted by DPA and BTA.
Some of the rockets were intercepted by Israel's anti-missile defense system, while others fell in unpopulated areas, the IDF said.
The Israeli Air Force attacked and hit a launch pad in Lebanon from which 30 of the missiles were fired, the IDF statement also said.
The group "Hezbollah" claimed responsibility for five attacks against Israel, including against the port city of Haifa and the city of Safed in the Galilee region.
These latest attacks come after more than 100 rockets were fired at Israel on Sunday.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke by phone yesterday with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and urged a significant increase in humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported, cited by BTA, citing a statement by the State Department department.
"The Secretary of State reviewed the steps Israel has taken to date and urged further action to significantly and sustainably increase humanitarian assistance, including food, medicine and other essential supplies, to civilians throughout territory of the Gaza Strip," the US State Department said in a statement.
