They approved Ekaterina Zaharieva for European Commissioner. 7 out of 8 coordinators voted “for” her candidacy and so she will head the "Startups, research and innovation" department. in the new European Commission, Nova TV reports.
The vote took place between the co-ordinators of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, who asked her questions earlier today. Only the extreme left did not support the Bulgarian candidate.
Bulgarian MPs Tsvetelina Petkova from the Socialists, Eva Maydel and Radan Kanev from the EPP and Petar Volgin from the “Europe of Sovereign Nations" are members of the commission.
