Ukraine has received financial assistance of 1.35 billion dollars from the USA, which will be directed to humanitarian and social programs, Prime Minister Denis Schmigal announced. The funds were provided through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Department of State of the United States, cited by BTA.
Shmigal expressed gratitude for the support and pointed out that the Ukrainian government continues to actively work with allies to secure the necessary resources for the next two years. This aid is part of total US budget support for Ukraine in 2023, amounting to $7.8 billion, of which $5.2 billion has already been transferred.
Since the start of the conflict in February 2022, Ukraine has received a total of $28.2 billion in direct budget aid from the US, making it the largest donor to the country.
